By adding a touch of fill light, I captured this image of Natural Bridge just off the main road. My wife was busy getting dinner ready (we take turns cooking). As I shot this image. About 15 feet to my right were two friends who were trying to capture the image with their phone not understanding why they were not getting the stars.
Moving 25 feet to my left and pointing the camera north, I made this image of the autumn sky milky way. I used the same small light to fill some of the shadows on the huge pine tree. This image is an excellent reminder to explore the area around your subject of interest fully.
